Michelle Karlin
President

Michelle has spent the last 14 years of her career working in digital media on both the agency and sales sides (a.k.a. the dark side) and has planned, bought, or sold everything from programmatic ads to streaming audio to content sponsorship/distribution to data and multi-touch attribution.  She has worked with a wide assortment of brands and categories, including: CPG, Retail, QSR, Telco, and Auto.

Chris Okroy
Vice President

Chris is a native of Detroit, who has been in Seattle for 4 years working for Add3 and now his own start-up agency DNW Digital.  Chris has over 10 years of media experience while focusing most of his efforts around digital media strategy and execution. Personally. He spent the first 33 years of his life in Detroit, and roots for the Detroit Lions, so you know he is loyal.  Fun facts: The Lions have only 1 playoff win in the past 60 years and haven’t won the division in 26 years.

Brendan McGinnis

Brendan graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks) with a Business Degree in Marketing. He moved back to his homeland of Los Angeles where he worked at Mindshare on a wide variety of accounts from CPG to QSR to B2B. Brendan moved to Seattle in 2015, where he started at Razorfish working on Cruise Lines and Tourism. The last two years he had been working on the Nike account before he made the jump to the client side working a T-Mobile overseeing the digital strategy for Metro by T-Mobile.

Genevieve Prendergast

Genevieve, a recent transplant from Chicago, is excited to be a part of the SIMM board! She has been in the media industry for 5+ years with experience in the CPG, Retail, Government Boards, Telcom, Education, & Festivals spaces. Genevieve also has experience with digital planning and activation, along with offline channel knowledge.

Jess Ramos

Jess is a NY transplant and has spent the last 8 years of her career, most of which was spent agency side, working as a digital media and measurement expert.  She has worked across a wide range of clients and industries including Financial Services, Pharma, Retail, CPG, and Auto supporting both B2B and B2C marketing efforts.  Her experience includes support for objectives ranging from direct response and mobile acquisition, to awareness and offline actions such as in-store traffic and revenue.  Outside of work Jess enjoys exploring the PNW with her husband and their pug, Ziggy.

David Van Hove

David, SIMM’s Creative Director, is a marketing generalist with experience in graphic design, marketing strategy, and copywriting. After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University with a marketing degree, he moved to Seattle in 2019 to start his marketing career, learn a thing or two and spend quality time in the mountains with his wife, Allisa, and their Australian shepherd, Bruce.

Veronica Ahern

For over 10 years Veronica has worked on big data solutions in e-commerce and digital marketing. As Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships at Oracle Data Cloud (ODC) she is responsible for overseeing ODC’s global data partnerships in the adtech ecosystem, defining team strategy, creating new business opportunities and growing revenue. Veronica came into Oracle through the BlueKai acquisition where she was a partner manager on the team she now runs. As a recent Board Member to SIMM she is excited to bring her experience and expertise to our events!

Ashley Reisen

Born and raised in Washington state, Ashley went to college in the midwest thinking she’d continue east after graduating. As it turned out, she missed the PNW and has been living in Seattle ever since. She came to digital marketing after spending a few years working in fine dining. She has experience managing both B2B and B2C paid search campaigns and now is at content26, an agency that provides Amazon content and advertising support. When not at work, you can find her catching a show, trying a new restaurant, or wine tasting in SODO.

Gina Ive

Gina is a Seattle native and proud University of Washington alum who’s spent her whole career in the Seattle advertising scene. With extensive experience in both traditional and digital platforms, Gina is excited to bring a cross-platform perspective to SIMM. Hosting fun, informative and collaborative events has always been one of her favorite parts of the job, especially in this tight-knit media market. When not at work, Gina is a mom of 2 kids and 2 dogs, and will take any excuse to get on a plane and explore somewhere new!
